RadiumOne Expands into Six New International Markets to Meet Growing Demand for Its Programmatic Advertising Buying Platform
Leading Automated Advertising Buying Platform Adds Three New Veteran Digital Media Executives And Introduces Key Partnerships
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – 11th March, 2014 – Just ahead of the industry's major shift in digital advertising spend from fragmented manual buying to automated platforms, RadiumOne, the leading global programmatic advertising platform for brands and advertisers, announced its expansion into six new international markets and the appointment of three new executives.
"After seeing our immense growth and success in the UK, France and Canada, we were compelled to boldly enter six additional markets," said Gurbaksh Chahal, founder and CEO of RadiumOne. "We believe these are the markets that are showing great growth of programmatic advertising as marketers, publishers and rights-holders are demanding the remarkable performance of automated advertising buying platforms. We've hired the best leaders in each of those markets to ensure that RadiumOne continues to be the go-to local partner."
The new managing directors and country leads are Michael Chabert for Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway; Edo Povel for The Netherlands and Kerry McCabe for Australia. The market expansion and new executive hires come as RadiumOne continues its record breaking growth with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 125 percent in the last three years as well as a push into global enterprises with its cross-channel automated advertising buying platform.
Kerry McCabe comes to RadiumOne after leading Advertising and Online for Microsoft in Australia. He says the company stands out from the rest, "Unlike many ad tech companies in Australia who rent serviced offices and believe that this is an unsophisticated market there for the taking, RadiumOne is in it for the long-term." McCabe added, "We are already hiring senior talent and negotiating enterprise platform agreements with top advertisers, agencies and rights holders."
With McCabe in the lead, RadiumOne has already launched a key local partnership with Australia's largest publisher, ninemsn. On partnering with RadiumOne, ninemsn's CIO Kelly Ferguson said: "Using data to understand our audience value, their brand preferences, intent to purchase and relationships with those most important in their lives, helps us to produce more relevant and engaging content, offering deeper and more effective channels for advertisers to connect with their most valuable audiences.
"We are now able to a shine light on "dark social", grow our own organic audience and offer advertisers access to this audience both on our network and across the open web."
Michael Chabert is a veteran of Advertising.com and Specific Media, having launched the business in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. He sees strong demand for RadiumOne's technology in these markets. "Innovation in the online industry often comes from US companies," he stated. "RadiumOne has had great success in US with innovative technologies that combine the growing areas of programmatic, proprietary data, mobile, and social. I'm looking forward to introducing RadiumOne innovations to Northern Europe and helping advertisers, publishers, agencies and rights owners to grow their businesses."
Edo Povel's professional background includes leadership positions at LinkedIn, Microsoft and IMNetworks in The Netherlands. According to Povel, "RadiumOne is addressing a great need in the Dutch market – data-driven, cross-media automated ad buying. The time is right for bringing these great capabilities to clients in The Netherlands so that they can experience a similar success to that of other European markets."
RadiumOne is at the forefront of the ad tech industry providing advertisers the state-of-the art technology and service to run programmatic initiatives across every digital channel in response to consumer's behaviors, actions and interests. These appointments will help the company scale to the next level to take advantage of the booming opportunity in markets all over the world, as global advertising spending shifts to programmatic.
